Reserve Duty regularly involves absences from school, sometimes for long periods of time. These absences can disrupt continuity in courses in a student’s schedule, creating a gap between the academic track of his or her peers, which can effect readiness and preparation for exams. The IDC considers students serving reserve duty and helps in providing ease, extensions, additional test dates, test scores and other services.
Students serving in the Honored Reserves have rights under the new reserve service law and policies of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies Student Convention. It is very important to understand your rights before contacting the professor, the course secretary or Dean.
The Student Union will help the student who requests it to prevent damage to his or her preparedness for the exam, provide discounts for tutoring in courses or to provide tutoring for free for those students who qualify. You can also send forms through the Social Security Secretariat Association. The AGUDA also gives members who have served in the army free tickets to events. For more information, see the link below.
